International Students
Registration and Arrival Dates
All exchange students are registered for courses by the Academic Exchange
office. Class schedules are generally available about one month before
the beginning of classes. Exact registration dates and instructions will
be included in the student's acceptance letter but normally undergraduate
students must arrange final schedules approximately one week before classes
begin; Graduate students must petition for classes approximately six weeks
before classes begin. If students cannot arrive in time for registration,
it is important that they keep in close contact with the Academic Exchange
Office in case there is any problem with class selection or schedules.
ITAM will do its best to give preferential enrollment in classes to exchange
students. Once classes are filled, however, it is difficult to find additional
space for exchange or even regular ITAM students.
Special Note: Students are expected to arrive at
the starting date for classes. We usually plan an orientation session
and luncheon during
the week prior to beginning of the undergraduate and Masters classes. Likewise, students are
expected to respect all final exam schedules and should not reserve flights
home until exam dates have been verified.
